Saturday, September 19, 2020 - 24th week of Ordinary Time - Gospel of Jesus Christ according to Saint Luke 8, 4-15 - Blessed are those who have heard the Word in a good and generous heart, who hold it and bear fruit through their perseverance.

This passage of the Gospel is so familiar to us that we can recite it from memory. It is the parable of the seed and the place where the sowing took place. Christ tried to explain to His disciples the meaning of the parable, not that He wanted to discriminate, but that He knew so well the character of the crowd that came to Him. Therefore, for us who listen to and meditate on the word of God, it is not necessary to palaver on the subject, it is enough to identify what kind of soil we are in, provided it is good and fertile soil, allowing us to produce according to what Christ expects of us: "He who has ears to hear, let him hear!".
