Friday, October 23, 2020 - 29th week of Ordinary Time - Gospel of Jesus Christ according to Saint Luke 12, 54-59 - Blessed art Thou, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, Thou hast revealed to the little ones the mysteries of the Kingdom!

Just as we know how to predict the weather, we must know how to interpret the signs of the times in which we live: the signs of salvation. The whole universe is the work of God; He has made it complementary. There is therefore no creature that can be used against God; to do so is to insult the Creator. Those who do so should repent, for there is nothing God cannot do if we repent and turn to Him. But also, we must get rid of the idea that matters of faith are difficult, inaccessible and confusing; it is the same as the temporal but just a little deeper. Body and soul are inseparable, otherwise one dies.

Moreover, as long as we are in this lowly world, let us not have enemies, let us not make enemies, let us not quarrel, let us not persecute, let us not offend, let us not slander each other. The words of Jesus are clear: "When you go with your adversary before the magistrate, while you are on your way, do all you can to settle with him". Sooner or later, as we leave this world, we will have to face judgment. A judgment in which there is neither corruption nor complacency, but love and mercy. So before we get there, it is better to make peace. Let no one owe us anything but love," says St. Paul. Let our lives be full of tolerance so that we can smell the fragrance of love and the scent of peace and forgiveness. Amen!
