Friday July 30, 2021 - Seventeenth week of Ordinary Time - The word of the Lord abides forever; this is the good news announced to you - Gospel of Jesus Christ according to Saint Matthew 13, 54-58

Despite our commitment in the various sectors of our daily life, we need miracles in our life: find work, educate our children well, cure diseases, the disappearance of the Coronavirus, have a serene life, have children ... But these miracles only happen if we have faith in God and his action. In today's Gospel, the people of Nazareth do not know who Jesus is: some are astonished at his wisdom, others are disturbed and refuse him because he presents himself in his native village as a man we know his condition of humble origin. Today, it can happen to us to ignore Jesus if we believe that we can be sufficient in ourselves because this mentality causes us to close ourselves in front of the initiative of God who works miracles in our life daily.

We cannot have the miracle of God if we wait for him to perform extraordinary and unheard-of miracles, while every moment he keeps freeing us from our sin, disease and death for our salvation. So let us try to perceive with the eye of faith, how God works miracles, both in the spiritual and material domains.
