19 June - Romuald was born around 950 in the family of the Onesti, Dukes of Ravenna, and grew up in the oriental comfort, the taste for pleasures, the easy life of his aristocratic milieu. Deeply troubled by the murder of a relative, Duke Serge of Ravenna, committed by his father during a duel, he withdrew from the world to do penance in his name.

16 June - Jean-François Régis, born 31 January 1597 in Fontcouverte, Aude (France). Of modest origin, Jean-François Régis obtained a scholarship, at the age of 14, to study at the Jesuit college of Béziers, now the Lycée Henri IV.

Combating malaria

Malaria is a fever transmitted by the bite of a female mosquito (anopheles). The fever is contagious and potentially fatal, but it can be treated. The main cause of the disease is a virus transmitted by female mosquitoes, which feed on the blood of people bitten by them. If not treated in time, malaria can be fatal. Message from the Bishops at the end of the Pilgrimage

Dear brothers and sisters in Christ, You who have come in such large numbers to take part in this national pilgrimage, as well as all of you who are following it from home through the media. We, the bishops of Madagascar, would like to express our deep gratitude to you for having responded to our invitation and for having brought this jubilee initiated by Pope Francis to life spiritually. With you, we take up Mary's song: ‘My soul exalts the Lord’ and we repeat with her: ‘What shall I repay the Lord for all the good he has done me?’....

Love and Salvation

Christmas is a great joy, because it is the love of God that has come to us, proclaims Fr.
