Here Mark retraces the journey of Christ whose salvation consists in freeing those who live far from God and in bondage in all its forms, the image of death and dispersion.

The case of this possessed man illustrates the ugliness of our human life when we like to remain in a situation of sin. It is impossible for us to control ourselves, because amorphous, we follow evil.

Who can save us then? Who has the power to defeat the evil within us? Only Christ, the Son of the Highest God, can. No other force can resist Him. He is the only one who can free us from the yoke of sin.
