Tuesday, September 29, 2020 - Saints Michael, Raphael and Gabriel, Archangels - Gospel of Jesus Christ according to St. John 1, 47-51 - All the angels of the Lord, bless the Lord: to him be glory and everlasting praise!

0 : 00

Dear Christians, today we celebrate the three Archangels, namely Saint Michael, Saint Raphael and Saint Gabriel. The main work of the angels is to praise God in heaven. They are our masters in the art of glorifying God. And it is this glory of God that is the goal of Christian life. The other work of the angels and archangels is also that the will of God is fulfilled in us humans, as well as protecting us and communicating God's message to us. We will never be angels. Their innocence is a permanent characteristic, willed by God, from their creation. Whereas for us, perfection is to emerge victorious, from the battles against evil, at Christ's side. According to the Gospel, obedience to God, simplicity and innocence are the very nature of angels. Let us therefore glorify God with angels and archangels. And let us invoke our guardian angels with confidence every day. Amen
