Friday March 12, 2021 - Third week of Lent - Convert, says the Lord, for the kingdom of Heaven is very near - Gospel of Jesus Christ according to Saint Mark 12, 28b-34

Jesus teaches us today the law of love: "Love for God and love for neighbor". These two commandments are interdependent. If we really have a deep love for God, it must be manifested in love of neighbor.

Jesus' response to this scribe: love for God is the first commandment, but that both are equal. Jesus makes us understand today that loving God with all our mind helps us to love others as ourselves. If someone says: "I love God and he hates his brother, he is a liar: he who does not love his brother, whom he sees, cannot love the God whom he does not see interdependent ". So, he who loves God, also loves his neighbor. This is why we are going to show this love for our neighbor, a love that seeks neither interest nor personal glory, but which cares more for the good of all.
