Thursday, January 19, 2023 — Second Week in Ordinary Time — Odd Year — Our Savior Jesus Christ has destroyed death and brought life to light through the Gospel — Gospel of Jesus Christ according to Saint Mark 3: 7-12
Let us be enthusiastic about fighting corruption and changing attitudes. It is difficult to think whether the gift given to teachers by pupils is a form of education or a form of corruption. Many parents give gifts that they will send through the students for the Teacher; some give money in an envelope, others give something that can be held in the hand as a sign of greeting for the New Year. Some give with pure spirit and love, politeness. There are quite a few people who give because they care about their children's education in terms of relationships: so that they are treated better in front of others, which can be a symbol of corruption.
Christians worship on Sunday or the first day of the week. It does not change, destroy or reject the third commandment of the Old Testament, but complements it because the Church clearly teaches that Christ is the fulfilment of the law and the prophets.
