Virginity symbolizes the holiness of the Blessed Virgin Mary. "She was a virgin not only in body, but in spirit", affirmed Saint Ambrose, Bishop of Milan, Doctor of the Church. The teaching of the Church is based on the Hail Mary: "rejoice Mary, full of grace". the Blessed Virgin Mary is full of grace, that is, she is not affected by original sin, but everything in her is good.
