What is celebrated on Easter Day is a continuation of the holy story after the resurrection of Jesus. The appearance to his disciples is the climax of the Holy Reading of this Easter. Peter was the first witness and preached the Good News according to what is written in the Acts of the Apostles, and this is why the Church is apostolic. On Holy Saturday there is a special celebration, a celebration of Jesus who conquered death and rose from the dead. There are three aspects to the celebration: Firstly, Christ the Light shown through the New Fire and the Easter Fires/Candles; secondly, Christ the Word of God through the Holy Reading; and lastly, Christ the Source of Life symbolising Baptism. On Holy Friday (Lean Friday) there will be a great fast. Participate in the suffering of Jesus and watch the redemption. Friday is the fulfilment of the Sacrifice, which is Himself and what was crucified on the cross. The death of Jesus is not only for the Jews but for the whole world, believer or not.
