The Psalm was a prayer in the Jewish temple; the starting point of its writings was the world around the temple. The Psalms did not end as prayers in the temple, but continued in the synagogues of each village. The Psalms played an important role in the Jewish religion, choosing not a place but a Temple or Synagogue... The author of the Psalms says very clearly that death is the ultimate enemy of humanity. It is the most severe and terrifying punishment for humans. Prayer makes humans aware that they are limited; this limit helps us not to belittle others because we are supposed to live in society; our identity is others...
