Menstruation is a condition that women experience as part of their natural growth. If you do the maths, 7 years is the total number of days of menstruation in a woman's life. Many misconceptions, superstitions and ignorances surround it, leading to discrimination and marginalisation, resulting in the violation of human dignity. According to Church law, the 1983 ‘Code of Canon Law’, in Canon 1083 § 1, it is clearly defined that 14 years for women and 16 years for men are the lowest ages for marriage.
