Wednesday, March 25, 2020 - Annunciation of the Lord - Gospel of Jesus Christ according to Saint Luke 1, 26-38 - The Word became flesh, he dwelt among us and we have seen his glory.

On this day, the Church celebrates the proclamation of the Incarnation of the Lord, so we are nine months away from the Nativity. The Son of God accepted to take flesh from a woman so that He might be close to us and salvation might be accomplished. The greeting that Mary heard is an unusual formula, no wonder, for it is good news that we are going to announce, the good news of salvation and peace. Jesus means "The Lord saves", He is among us in order to restore the kingdom devastated by sin, by raising up a new people and erecting an eternal kingdom.

The incarnation of Jesus in Mary is the work of the Holy Spirit. Let us be attentive and contemplate the work of the Holy Spirit in our daily lives. Let us implore the Holy Spirit to renew our lives and change our hearts so that they may be docile like Mary and the Word may be incarnated in our lives.
