Again, Jesus, because of who He is, because of His origin and divinity, is subject to discussion, yet God the Father, John the Baptist, the deeds and words of Jesus Himself and the Holy Scriptures proclaim that Jesus is the Christ, the Messiah, the long-awaited Savior. All these revelations are meaningless to the one who does not want to believe. Each day, let us take care to deepen our understanding of the Holy Scriptures, observe what God does in our lives, and our faith will be deepened.

In coming to save us, Jesus does not boast, He does not seek human recognition or acclaim, for He fulfills His mission not according to the human but according to God's plan. To believe is to open ourselves to be filled by God. Lent is a time to let God fill us and reign in us.
