It is customary for us to work to earn money and provide for our needs. Jesus notices this effervescence around work. He gives here a parable about the work in the vineyard and takes advantage of it to help us understand the kingdom of Heaven. From a purely human point of view, this vineyard owner is committing an injustice, because he is paying the same price for those who have worked longer and those who only arrived in the last hours. But it is also a mistake of the first hired to expect to receive more than those who arrived late. They do not realize the kindness of the employer who pays the agreed salary despite all circumstances.

God knows what is good for us and we humans should not dictate or impose on him for what he has to do. Everything is due to God's grace; He is rich in grace and His love is infinite. It is therefore not for us to define or limit this grace that He shares with us, He distributes according to His will and His love. In our community, some may think that "God blesses no more such, nothing is missing; while we, the rest of us, survive, there is no glimmer of hope". Let's avoid reasoning about how God dispenses his grace and love. We all have only one goal: to enter the Kingdom of Heaven. But this is being prepared on earth, so let us not postpone indefinitely what there is to do, let us build the kingdom of Heaven by a life full of love and piety. Let us pray that sinners will repent and not be separated from the family of mankind. It is the duty of the Church to lead people to God, the Church that all of us baptized constitute. Amen.
