Wednesday, January 18, 2023 — Second Week in Ordinary Time — Odd Year — Jesus preached the Gospel of the Kingdom and cured every disease among the people — Gospel of Jesus Christ according to Saint Mark 3: 1-6
According to what is written in the Old Testament: "You shall hold a holy meeting on the first day, and you shall hold a holy meeting on the seventh day. You shall not work on those days" Ex. 12,16. If we look at what is written, the question that should not arise is whether it is Saturday or Sunday that prayer can be done, for both are holy days of assembly. Tuesday, January 17, 2023 — Second Week in Ordinary Time — Odd Year — May the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ enlighten the eyes of our hearts, that we may know what is the hope that belongs to our call — Gopel of Jesus Christ according to Saint Marc 2: 23-28
In the Old Testament it is written: "Keep the Sabbath day holy, as the Lord your God commanded you". Here it is clear that the Sabbath day is to be observed and kept holy. If we broaden the meaning a bit according to this commandment of God, it is a day of rest. Catechesis on Sunday observance, in collaboration with Fr. Wagner Randriamampandry.
