05 March — Jean-Joseph de la Croix was born in Ischia in 1654. At the age of 16, he chose the religious path by entering the Discaled Friars Minors. During 30 years, he travelled all over Italy to enforce the reforms brought by Peter of Alcàntara in the life of priests in Spain.
It is important to emphasise that the New Testament does not speak of the priests we know today as Christians, but only of priests according to the Jewish way; Jesus Christ is both one of the Priests according to the Jewish way and according to the Christian way.
