"Vatsim-panahy" is a program for deepening faith and pastoral guidance. No one can save himself alone; we must journey together. The Church invites us to live a new liturgical year, beginning with Advent: 28 days to prepare for the coming of the Lord. The Gospel of the first Sunday of Advent tells of the moment when Jesus will come among men, which is why we talk a lot about the attitude to adopt: to keep watch, which means to be spiritually ready...

Mary, as she has been with us at every moment of our lives, will also be with us at the moment of our death. In the prayer we ask of her, in the final of the Hail Mary, in those moments, we ask her to hold our hand and help us to get up and run towards Jesus, the Lord of our lives. Novena to Mary Help of Christians. Day Nine.

Mary, having lived her life to the full as a gift, is a woman of all times, including our own. She's always relevant, never grows old and goes out of fashion. We can think of her beside us, in our trials, suffering and anxieties, because she suffered them. She is now our effective help and support. Novena to Mary Help of Christians. Day Eight.

Mary is a woman gathered in God but not isolated from men, their lives and their history. She is in silence because she is impermanent and cordial, listening to the word of God and the words of men. Her silence makes possible her listening and her discernment in order to identify, among the many words, the one that really counts. Novena to Mary Help of Christians. Day Seven.
