It purifies the air. Its cultivation is a source of additional income for the women who practice it according to the explanation of the president of the Ravintsara platform, Dr. Razafinakanga Alice.

Former Minister of Civil Service, Labour and Social Laws in the government of Tantely Andrianarivo in 1999 and 2000, Dr. Razafinakanga Alice continues to seek to promote the Ravintsara channel in different ways with the support of his association and the platform. The Ravintsara channel has become a great utility in the health field and currently has an important place in the economic life.

The culture of Ravintsara and its promotion cannot be neglected because of its importance for health. It is a natural antiviral, the essential oil of Ravintsara is used against flu states, stress and muscular pain. The quality of Malagasy Ravintsara is known worldwide as among the best and the essential oils are unique due to its exceptional components.

Because of these medicinal virtues of Ravintsara, several countries import the essential oil from Madagascar as well as its powder. Marketing is, therefore, open to the outside world. This implies a source of income for the farmers as well as the women cultivating Ravintsara. This is why Dr. Razafinakanga Alice tries to convince women to plant it in their gardens, even if it is only a single plant. This project alleviates financial difficulties in households. The food needs of the family are assured. The students go to school with full school supplies.

Women should not have to wait for the activities of the celebration of the International Women's Day for reforestation, especially the Ravintsara. It can be started in everyday life. In addition to the income obtained from its planting, the Ravintsara has a major impact on the environment because the plant depollutes the air. Since the air is generally polluted in the urban environment, hence the need for this project. Ravintsara can be grown in the garden. Urban agriculture is an increasingly common practice in several capitals of the world.

As president of the association, Dr. Razafinakanga Alice calls on the leaders of this country, on the occasion of World Women's Day, to deal with the proliferation of violence against women, including rape. She sensitizes and convinces citizens to behave well towards others. Insulting has become a practice in society, but it does not educate the current generation or the one she believes will come after it.
