Monday, 5th December 2022 — Second Week of Advent — Year A — Behold the king will come, the Lord of the earth, and he himself will lift the yoke of our captivity — Gospel of Jesu Christ according to Saint Luke 5: 17-26

The people are thirsty for salvation, the Malagasy want to improve and progress in many ways, but this is the fault: the people are not united, intimidation and barbarism are spreading and rampant... They need priests, real priests, not functionaries of God. So we are encouraged not to depend on the things of the earth, but to use them to help our friends, that is, all human beings without exception. This means that we need a renewal from within.

December 04 - John Damascene or John of Damascus, whose real name was Jean Mansour, was born into a prominent Syriac Christian family in Damascus in the 7th century. Until the age of 12, Jean apparently received a traditional education. His father wanted him to learn, not only Muslim works, but also those of the Greeks.

Only love according to the Gospel can give value to everyday life. Love according to the Gospel is: love of God, love of friends, doing good deeds without reward, love of the enemy and praying for them, and giving one's life like Christ on the cross. Love and Salvation

Christmas is a great joy, because it is the love of God that has come to us, proclaims Fr. Bizimana Innocent, Provincial Superior of the Salesians Don Bosco of Madagascar and Mauritius, presenting his Christmas greetings. Salvation is accomplished, so life is not in danger of disappearing.
