October 4 is the feast of St. Francis of Assisi. The current Pope of the Catholic Church chose to use the name "Francis" when he reached the Holy See. There is a visit by the General of SJ worldwide here in Madagascar at this time. St. Francis of Assisi was the son of a wealthy man during his lifetime, but at the age of 25, he chose a life of poverty, imitating Christ, to share grace with those in need and vulnerable.
