Since the Council of Vienna, France (1311-1312), Pope Clement V, abolished the so-called "Order" of the Knights Templar, a type of monks and warriors, defending the Holy Land and opposing the enemies of the faith (this was approved by the pope on 29 March 1139). This Council also condemned the error of the Beguards regarding their teaching on spiritual perfection. It was clearly stated that the soul of man is one of the things that are constituted and completely united to it (this was done in opposition to John Olivi's Peter).

It is important for the Church to deal with the Council of Rome, Lateran III (1179) which debated the right of some Church officials to receive compensation when distributing the sacraments, that is why the law was enacted against "simony". The Council of Constantinople IV (869-870) condemned Fazio for his heresy, confirming the use of images in worship. More emphasis has been placed on the fact that the Bishop of Rome is the common Father, that is to say the Holy Father. Diocese of Miarinarivo
Pope Francis has accepted the renunciation of the pastoral government of the Diocese of Miarinarivo, presented by H.E. Mgr Jean Claude Randrianarisoa. At the same time, the Supreme Pontiff has appointed H.E. Mgr Marie Fabien Raharilamboniaina, as Apostolic Admnistrator sede vacante et ad nutum Sanctae Sedis of the same Diocese.
