The Psalms are prayers because they were written in the context of prayer and the temple. In general, many observers say that David wrote the whole Psalm because he was a poet, a creator and a singer, he also had a talent for playing instruments and he loved prayer. In Hebrew, the book of Psalms is called ‘Sefer Tehillim’. The word ‘tehillim’ can simply be translated into Malagasy as ‘song of praise’. This ‘tehillim’ does not really interpret the Psalms and is not very satisfactory, because it says any song of praise, whatever form it takes; the word ‘Mizmor’ means rather a religious song... Love and Salvation

Christmas is a great joy, because it is the love of God that has come to us, proclaims Fr. Bizimana Innocent, Provincial Superior of the Salesians Don Bosco of Madagascar and Mauritius, presenting his Christmas greetings. Salvation is accomplished, so life is not in danger of disappearing.
