30 October - Welcome Bojani, born around 1255 in Savogna di Cividale in Friuli, Italy. As a child she already had a great devotion for the Virgin Mary.
29 October - Michel Rua was born on 9 June 1837. He is the youngest of nine siblings. In 1852 he entered the Oratorio of Valdocco. One day, Don Bosco told him that they were complementary. He was one of the first to whom Don Bosco told of his plan to found the Salesian congregation.
October 28 - These two Apostles have their feast on the same day because they worked together for the conversion of the Gentiles. Saint Simon, who was originally from Canaan, was given the nickname Canaanite, to distinguish him from Simon Peter. Saint Jude was the brother of Saint James the Minor and Saint Simeon, Bishop of Jerusalem.
27th October - Emeline was a holy woman who joined the Cistercian order at Boulancourt in the diocese of Troyes in Champagne. She lived there in the 12th century. This monastery was very popular at the time.

Christmas is a great joy, because it is the love of God that has come to us, proclaims Fr. Bizimana Innocent, Provincial Superior of the Salesians Don Bosco of Madagascar and Mauritius, presenting his Christmas greetings. Salvation is accomplished, so life is not in danger of disappearing. It is this love and this salvation that we wish to fill our life so that we have peace.
