Friday 16 October 2020 - 28th week of Ordinary Time - Gospel of Jesus Christ according to Saint Luke 12, 1-7 - May your love, Lord, be upon us, as our hope is in you!

We can deceive others with beautiful words, we can deceive ourselves with what we do, but we can never deceive God. He has eyes to see and ears to hear, which means that God sees the life of every human being in the smallest details, from the smallest to the greatest nothing can be hidden from Him. Jesus said: "Beware of the leaven of the Pharisees". The leaven in question here is nothing other than hypocrisy. No one wants to appear bad in the eyes of others, so one always tries to conceal and hide weaknesses.

Dear Christians, let us seek to know and do God's will every day. Let us remember that we are his creatures, that God fashioned us with his hands. Small, fragile and insignificant, helpless as a sparrow, we must always count on God and his grace. From the experience of each one of us, we can say that no one can claim to be self-sufficient, but needs the support of God the Father. This means that we are imperfect and incapable of self-sufficiency. Jesus, You said: "I am the way, the truth and the life." Help me, accompany me with your love. Amen.
