No one can be truly isolated. It is true that there is a choice to be alone, a way of life, to be alone. The basic need is growing, not to suffer alone but to need others: the need for love which manifests itself in different forms. For Mary, courage comes from the fact that she is a mother. A mother who can only take care of her daughters and sons. Nothing stops her, no obstacle or adversity intimidates her.
