In the current context, marked by a health crisis, the difficulties of everyday life are intensifying and becoming more difficult to overcome. It is in this context that we must strengthen our commitment and resilience, cultivating patience and optimism. As part of the celebration of the Jubilee of the Sick, the Episcopal Commission for Health aims to give new impetus through faith, hope and patience to all those involved in the health sector, including patients, doctors, carers and relatives of the sick.
Journeying together means coming together to share a common goal. Communion is the foundation for the success of this coming together. In the life of a couple, journey and communion go hand in hand, when each partner is fully involved in the life of the other. Husband and wife are equal partners, complementary and interdependent as they strive to achieve common goals.
Many women still live in dependency. They want and do everything they can to be independent, and many take advantage of women's desire for autonomy. One form of this abuse is human trafficking.
Faced with the various difficulties that the family experiences every day, family life is increasingly neglected as external occupations and earning a salary become the priority for survival. The result is a decline in the quality of relationships within the family, leading to fatigue and stress. Facing these difficulties together helps the family to rekindle hope within each member.
