26th December - Saint Stephen was one of the seven deacons chosen by the apostles to assist them in their mission. In the sixth and seventh chapters of the book of Acts of the Apostles we find a detailed account of his life, his mission, from his election as deacon to his arrest.

25 December - The birth of Jesus, Son of God, Saviour of the world, is celebrated on this day. The Gospels of Saint Matthew and Luke tell of this birth of the Lord. According to the Scriptures, the mother of Jesus is Mary, the daughter of Anne and Joachim of Nazareth and Galilee. And Joseph, a descendant of David, is her foster father.
