11 December - Damasus was born in 305. He lived in Rome with his family. He joined the priesthood and had a good reputation among priests. Damasus was known as a deacon of Pope Libera, who entrusted him with the position of ambassador to the emperors Valens and Valentinian.

From innocent nature comes the virtue of smallness. It is a precious gift from God, but it is easily damaged if not followed from an early age. 10 December - John Roberts was born in 1577 in Trawsfynydd, a small village in Snowdonia, North Wales. Roberts was baptized in the Protestant faith in the local church of St Madryn but is believed to have received his early education from an elderly former monk who had been a member of the Cymer Abbey community.

Love and Salvation

Christmas is a great joy, because it is the love of God that has come to us, proclaims Fr. Bizimana Innocent, Provincial Superior of the Salesians Don Bosco of Madagascar and Mauritius, presenting his Christmas greetings. Salvation is accomplished, so life is not in danger of disappearing.
