14 August - Maximilien Kolbe, Rajmund Kolbe at the registry office, is born on 8 January 1894 at Zduńska Wola, Poland. His parents, Julius Kolbe and Maria Dąbrowska are both Franciscan weavers and tertiaries. The father took part in the Polish legion of the independentist Józef Piłsudski in 1914.

It is not easy to discern the call and the will of God. God has given us the ability to know a vocation. First the faculty of discernment because we are endowed with reason, then the faculty of judgment, according to the will of the heart. The vocation of God is personal to each of us. Love and Salvation

Christmas is a great joy, because it is the love of God that has come to us, proclaims Fr. Bizimana Innocent, Provincial Superior of the Salesians Don Bosco of Madagascar and Mauritius, presenting his Christmas greetings. Salvation is accomplished, so life is not in danger of disappearing.
