The Federation of Rural Women in Madagascar or FVTM contributes to the development of its members' income-generating activities during its 15 years of existence. It is a national umbrella organization, especially for women, which aims to improve the living conditions of rural women in a sustainable manner and to promote empowerment in social, economic and cultural life.
At least 320 000 family farmers in eight regions in the southern and central-eastern part of Madagascar: Androy, Anosy, Ihosy, Matsihatra Ambony, Amoron'i Mania, Atsimo Atsinanana et Vatovavy Fitovinany, will benefit from the opportunity provided by the "Programme de Développement des Filières agricoles Inclusfis" (DEFIS). This is a programme of the Malagasy Government under the supervision of the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries, launched on 4 December 2019.
Son of farmers, Razafindrainibe Mbolatiana Lucien made a decisive choice to become a rural micro-entrepreneur in order to secure his career. He is a young enthusiast with a passion for milk production sold to the market through the Red Pie and Holstein dairy cows on his farm located in Soavina, a rural commune in the district of Antananarivo Atsimondrano.
