The work of government is also mentioned in the Bible when Jesus Christ called the tax collectors. Matthew was a tax collector who was called by Jesus Christ and accepted as he did the work according to the responsibility entrusted to him. The publicans were civil servants, tax collectors in the ports, demanding exorbitant taxes, but accepting to transform themselves into fishers of men. Catechesis on work, in collaboration with P.
